Individual SAT and ACT preparation tailored uniquely to your child
At Foster & Roweth, the heart of our educational philosophy is the belief that true learning and growth happen when students feel empowered. Our aim is to create a safe, supportive environment where our students ask questions, take risks, and learn from mistakes. In this space, students prepare for the SAT and ACT while also building confidence, independence, and problem-solving skills that carry into every part of their lives.
Your child’s journey with us:
-
We will chat about your child’s background, goals, and what makes them special, and we will answer any questions you have about the SAT/ACT tutoring process.
-
Your student will meet with us for a 90 minute in-depth intake. We will assess their unique learning profile, including their problem-solving styles, stress tolerance, and approach to processing and integrating information. Students also independently complete a full, timed practice test to assess their baseline familiarity and comfort with tested topics.
-
Based on our intake observations, we will share an SAT/ACT recommendation, suggested test dates, target scores, tutoring plan, and tutor match.
-
Students typically meet for 90-minute weekly sessions supplemented by regular homework assignments. Our prep plans are based on data, cognitive theory, our own instincts after years of experience, and your input.

[…]
I wanted to note how hard it was to end our last meeting. I always remember the fun tutors and the great teachers. Thank you a million times over for making this test, which normally seems like a nightmare for most, seem not as bad for me[…]
